Conference - 44th ATEE conference

The 44th ATEE conference (association for teaching teachers in Europe founded in 1976 in Brussels) has been organized by the Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom. The quality of teacher training has been one of the main topics, not only in the initial training but also in the training throughout the entire exercise of the teaching profession. The concept in Europe of lifelong learning is closely related to: basic competences, standards and qualification frameworks defined by administrations and universities (often jointly).

Professor Mercè Gisbert co-leads with PhD. Mireia Montané of the Doctors and Graduate Schools the RDC (Rersearch and Development Communities) who works on the topic Global Teacher Education and whose objective is to generate an international community of researchers that We work around the definition of what should be the basic competences of the teacher regardless of the context and the level at which they have to carry out their professional work.
