Implementation of The Art of Reading application for the learning of Swahili

The ARGET research group has worked with a European project focused on improving the reading comprehension in English of university students through an application called Stratapp - The Art of Reading. This is a free educational application based on the principles of gamification created within the framework of a European project KA2 of cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, coordinated by Dr. Mar Gutiérrez-Colon (http://stratapp.eu).

Related to this project and thanks to the support of the solidarity URV program, a new version adapted to learn Swahili has been created in the region of Kenya (South Africa). The researchers of the URV, Dr. Mar Gutiérrez-Colón and Dr. Ester Torres, with the online support of the researcher Dr. Vanessa Esteve, have moved to Kenya, specifically in a school in Nairobi, to work with Alicia Ndegwa in the StratApp-Swahili project.
