ACTUA studies the transmission of COVID-19 virus in elementary and children's schools, particularly within classrooms.
This project aims to contribute to the creation of a contextual variable monitoring tool, and the creation of a data analysis infrastructure. The Internet of Things (IoT) facilitates the achievement and deployment of sensory systems with network connectivity capability. The cost content of this hardware favors installation on a large number of observing points.
Analysis of the large volumes of generated data allows statistical information and knowledge to be obtained, in order to deepen the above mechanisms and conditions of transmission. We plan to introduce a wide variety of sensors into school classrooms, by means of reduced cost monitoring kits, in order to discover correlations between the information provided by sensors and the COVID-19 pandemic contagion data in classrooms.
